Interview with Action Park Studios
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: We offer 3 Rooms for recording, a Live Room, a Performance Room (tune and treated), and a dead room. We have to techniques that can capture live off the floor. One technique allows for no bleed between instruments. We use a hybrid mix of state of the art processing, through WAVEs plugins, and professional outboard gear.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My two biggest influences are Steve Albini and Andy Wallace. Their techniques of maintaining the real performance, is what we strive for.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: We most often do live recordings with bands. Tracking can be tedious and difficult for many new musicians. We take that stress off by, giving them solid recordings that can be mixed anywhere with true success.
