My name is Grawlix and I'm a producer and aspiring mixing engineer specialized in Hip Hop.
I've been producing and mixing Hip Hop since 2015 working with artists to bring them the sound they want for their song. This includes making custom beats for rappers or getting the vocals to sound just right in the mix. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mixing rap vocals (including autotune, etc.) and making custom beats.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always aim to achieve the best sound when recording rather than fixing in post production/mixing. This is a good tip that applies even to rappers and clients because it's impossible to make a bad recording sound great.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I've always listened to Hip Hop a lot even before producing and mixing so I'll often know what a track needs and in which direction to take it. This allows me to experiment and mix creatively to not only deliver a clean and rich mix but also use and combine effects in a way to create a unique sound.
