Hello! I m Gaston , I m from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Im a Music Producer, Bass Player and Double Bass Player.

I am a graduate of the Tecson School of Sound and the Tamaba School of Music. I worked on various sound projects mixing metal bands as personal jazz projects as well as performing live sound. In terms of music, I was lucky to play in various genres such as jazz, tango, rock, metal, bossa, samba, pop, etc.

If there's one thing I specialize in and really enjoy, it's recording bass or double bass lines. I was fortunate to participate in various projects of singer-songwriters both recording, playing and producing. I also do transcripts and arregement for wind inst.

  1. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  2. A: I play the bass ago 15 year, the double bass ago 4 years and i produce artists ago 3 years.

  3. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  4. A: Always work with a producer or with a friend who can give u advice.

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: As a producer i work with Rock, Pop, Songwritters. As a sessionist Rock, Pop, Jazz, Tango, Folklore argentino.

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  8. A: My strongest skill it´s the security in the play and in the base, my objetive it´s always create a solid base.

  9. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  10. A: I bring the security in the base that all song need.

  11. Q: What's your typical work process?

  12. A: In first place i listen the song and i imagine what can i contribute, without the instrument or any program, only imagine. And then I ll start to work in these ideas.

  13. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  14. A: In my home studio i work with Reaper, Cubase or Pro Tools for the recording session and to produce. To record the Electric Bass I use a PreAmp Aguilar Tone Hammer. To record the Double Bass I use two mics, CAD GXL 3000 and Prodipe Bl21 Lanen.

  15. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  16. A: A lot of musicians here in Argentina inspire me to play double bass or electric, to work with music. Internationally speaking, Christian McBride, Ron Carter, Avishai Cohen, double bass player who inspires me a lot. In Electric Bass Guillermo Vadala, Jaco, and other inspires me.

  17. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  18. A: The most common work it´s record double bass, for jazz songs.
