Willie Triplett (singer, keyboardist, producer, writer) and Gerald Valentine (drummer, producer, writer) team up with new up and coming singer & guitarist David Lyve to form a sound that takes the listener on a wondrous lyrical ride through love, heart-break, accountability and outright sexual naughtiness while the music sustains a steady flow of Trap meets smooth R&B Soul meets Hip Hop beats meet EDM meets Neo Soul.
The Group 2.0 believes R&B has just been diced into these separate styles of music so the goal is to mesh them into one project to show the world what R&B is truly capable of while still being a dominant force in music
"When we cut our records back in the 80s with songs such as Oh Sheila, Love You Down, Digital Display and Tonight; we played and wrote what we felt. The musical influences of that era played a key role in how we formed our sound. No different from today, the new styles of music will play that same role in the sounds we create, the lyrics we write and the ultimate upgrade we put on the music.
