    Interview with .

    1. Q: What do you bring to a song?

    2. A: I like to think I bring life to a song. Whether it´s a steady deep groove, a bombastic fill oriented part or a touch of world percussion flavour. The vintage side of things are my favourite, drums, cymbal and mic wise.

    3. Q: What's your typical work process?

    4. A: First, I will need the track that I am going to be working on, the tempo if it´s recorded to a click track, and any other comments or instructions you feel I should know. I will record the drums/percussion and send you an mp3 bounce with all the separated wav tracks. We can have as many revisions as we need in order for it to be perfect.

    5. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

    6. A: THE STUDIO There are two different recording rooms in the studio. One is big, warm and woody, the other one is smaller and more intimate. There is also a mix room where we make our mixing, editing and productions. We have good old ribbon mics for a vintage touch, plus condenser and dynamic mics. We use Shure, AKG, RØDE, Avantone. DRUMS I own a wide variety of drums and cymbals. I have a few 60s and 70s drum kits if you are into vintage sound (my favourite!), plus brand new Gretsch maple and birch drums. Also a few Ludwig snares (you can never go wrong with a supraphonic!). PERCUSSION I am highly skilled at a wide variety of percussion instruments (drumset, congas, bongo, timbal, berimbau, cajon, triangle, caxixis, shekere). I can record exactly what you have in mind, or help you find the beat or color your song needs. If you are not sure about what you want, don't worry! I'll help you out with the production part (I love doing that!)

    7. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

    8. A: I love Ringo Starr, Charllie Watts, Steve Jordan. Bernard Purdie, John Bonham.

    9. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

    10. A: These are the three things I do the most: * Drumset Recording. If your tune needs a professional sounding drumset recording, I´m your man. * Percussion Production and Recording. Whether you know exactly what instument you want for your song, or you have no idea but feel like a percussion part would suit nice, I´ll help you with that. * Audio mixing & editing. If you have a song that needs mix or an audio that needs editing, count me in.
