Meral on SoundBetter

Studio quality artist tags, angelic backings and heartfelt lyrics

I'm a bilingual singer-songwriter based in the Netherlands with Turkish and Dutch roots. I started singing and playing the piano when I was only six years old, I would start writing lyrics a few years later. I offer studio quality artist/producertags, catchy lyrics and angelic sounding vocals. English is my second language and I also speak French. If you need a tag that people will recognise your music by or backings to take your track to the next level, definitely send me a message! I have my own studio at home, guaranteeing fast delivery. I have worked on Hip Hop, rnb and Alternative Rock, but I plan on exploring all other genres there are out there.

If you like my vibe, hit that green button and let's get to work! I would love to hear from you.

Send me a note through the contact button above.

I love making songs with Meral! She is my go to singer on everything I create, whether it’s pop, hiphop or EDM. Meral works fast and efficiently and she writes everything herself. Her unique top end vocals compliment any heavy bass genre, and it just naturally fits right into the mix! She makes it what I envisioned it to be. Go get it Meral!!

Interview with Meral

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: One of my first singles 'Ghost Town'. This was the first track where I showed a more personal side of me, a side that I don't really like people knowing about. Being able to express my vulnerable side through music was an absolute amazing experience and I can't wait to show the complexity of who I am through my music.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I am currently working on my first EP

  5. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  6. A: A professional end result that completely fits your needs :)

  7. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  8. A: Make sure you give clear directions on what you want AND don't be afraid to give honest feedback.

  9. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  10. A: My microphone, audio interface, laptop, a power bank with infinite power AND my mixing headphones

  11. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  12. A: I started playing the piano and singing at the age of 6 but kind of forgot about music as I got older. When I met my partner who is a producer I got back into it and haven't stopped since!

  13. Q: How would you describe your style?

  14. A: A combo of sweet and street.

  15. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  16. A: Peach Pit! They are my absolute favourite band and because they play with live instruments I think it would be a very educative and fun experience as I haven't worked with a live band yet.

  17. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  18. A: Harmonising

  19. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  20. A: I bring whatever I need to bring. Sometimes sex appeal, sometimes sadness, sometimes anger. Whatever the melody tells me basically!

  21. Q: What's your typical work process?

  22. A: I look for beats on BeatStars or I hit up the studio with my producer. I write my lyrics on my phone or on paper, usually on the train or behind my laptop. I prefer recording while I'm writing, so I can really get a feel of the lyrics match with the beat. Sometimes it takes me 30 minutes to finish a song, sometimes a few weeks.

  23. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  24. A: I have my own homestudio with a Rode NT1 microphone. I use Logic Pro X to record my music.

  25. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  26. A: Chiiild, Amber Mark, Rihanna, Doja Cat

  27. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  28. A: Producertags and backings
