Endorse DNR RecordsDNR Records offers a comfortable environment that helps bring out the best in the artists they work with.
I've recorded vocals at DNR Records, and their team has mixed and mastered several of my releases.
The proof is in the product -- one of my releases through DNR has been put on a large Lofi Hip Hop playlist. A featured track I did through DNR has been nominated for a provincial music award.
DNR treated my art with the same passion they would treat any of their own projects.
That enthusiasm for YOUR art adds value far beyond what they charge for their service.
Interview with DNR Records
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: If I had to pick one, I'd have to say Yelawolf. I think he's one of the more "out there" artists, but his use of vocal layering and harmonics are so intriguing. I'd love the opportunity and challenge of mixing one of his songs.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always be mindful of ear fatigue. Make sure to take breaks while editing, otherwise you may miss important little details. A good set of monitors is always a good idea.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: We tailor each mix to the individual taste of the artists we collaborate with. We always work along side the artists when we work on your projects, no worrying about only getting one revision to get your song right.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: We operate with Cubase Pro, with an extensive library of plugins including CLA and Abbey Roads equipment, as well as high quality analog gear and microphones.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: A couple favorites would have to be Dr. Dre, Rick Rubin, and Chris Lord-Alge.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common is simple mix & mastering services, though we do get a fair amount of vocal tuning and effect editing as well.

- Studio improvmentsJan 29, 2022
Over the last month we've made several updates and improvments to the studio. First, we improved the layout of bass traps and other acoustic treatment panels in both out mix room and recording room. Second, we re-arranged the mix room to make the workspace more efficient and improve overall sound for better mixes. And last but not least, we bought a new mic! The Warm Audio WA-8000.
