ELISON on SoundBetter

Bilingual Latin R&B artist and songwriter delivering emotional vocals and unforgettable melodies. I blend Spanglish lyrics, smooth vocals, and raw storytelling to create music that connects. Whether it's a catchy hook, heartfelt verse, or full topline, I bring soul, vibe, and industry-ready quality to every project.

I’m Elison — a vocalist and songwriter based between Miami and New York, blending modern R&B with Latin roots and Spanglish lyricism. With over 10 years of experience, I bring both emotion and precision to every project, whether it's a topline, a full song, or vocal performance.

My style is built on real stories, cultural rhythm, and melodies that connect. I’ve worked alongside Grammy-nominated producers and collaborated with artists across genres, always bringing a sound that feels current but timeless. Fluent in both English and Spanish, I specialize in crossover songs, heartfelt hooks, and dynamic verses that speak to both worlds.

I record with a Manley Reference mic, Apollo Twin interface, and Pro Tools — delivering high-quality stems with clean tuning, clarity, and character. Whether you're building a Latin-pop anthem, an R&B ballad, or something uniquely yours, I bring soul, professionalism, and versatility to the table.

Let’s make something meaningful.

Interview with ELISON

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: One project I’m especially proud of is my song “La Primera.” It’s the first single off my upcoming EP and marks a real shift in my sound — blending Latin soul, R&B, and emotional storytelling in a way that feels authentic to who I am now. I wrote the lyrics, crafted the melody, and recorded the vocals myself. Beyond just performing, I directed the music video and helped shape the entire vision behind the release. It’s more than just a song — it’s the beginning of a new chapter, and everything about it reflects my growth as an artist and creator.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Right now, I’m focused on finishing my upcoming EP — a bilingual fusion of Latin R&B, reggaetón, and Spanglish storytelling. I’m also working with other artists under OneTime Music, writing toplines, recording features, and helping shape a sound that’s both emotional and culturally relevant. Every session right now is about impact — making records that last.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Ario Armanie

  7. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  8. A: Know the vibe you’re going for, even if it’s just a reference track or a few words — that helps me bring your vision to life faster. Be open, clear, and trust the process. The more honest the communication, the stronger the final product. And don’t stress about being “perfect” — raw emotion always wins.

  9. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  10. A: I started singing at a young age and got my first major exposure on the TV show La Banda in 2015. That experience launched me into the music industry, where I’ve been developing my voice, writing style, and creative identity for over 10 years. Since then, I’ve worked with Grammy-nominated producers, built a growing catalog across Latin R&B and Spanglish music, and launched my own ventures as an artist, songwriter, and entrepreneur.

  11. Q: How would you describe your style?

  12. A: My style is a blend of Latin soul and R&B emotion, delivered in Spanglish with clean vocals and melodic depth. It’s smooth, heartfelt, and modern — a fusion of street poetry and romantic energy that speaks to both cultures without losing its rawness.

  13. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  14. A: I’d love to work with Rauw Alejandro — he pushes boundaries while staying true to his Latin roots. His blend of R&B, reggaetón, and futuristic sounds aligns perfectly with my style, and I feel like we’d create something timeless, bilingual, and emotionally real.

  15. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  16. A: Focus on emotion first, perfection second. A take with raw feeling will always connect more than a perfectly tuned one. Capture the vibe early, then polish it — don’t let over-editing kill the soul.

  17. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  18. A: I usually work on Latin R&B, reggaetón, and Spanglish pop — music that blends smooth vocals with rhythm and emotion. I also collaborate on trap-soul, Latin pop, and urban records with a melodic edge.

  19. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  20. A: My strongest skill is translating emotion into melody — especially in Spanglish. Whether it's writing heartfelt lyrics, crafting a catchy topline, or delivering a vocal that cuts through, I know how to make a song feel real and unforgettable.

  21. Q: What's your typical work process?

  22. A: My typical work process starts with understanding the client’s vision — whether it’s a reference track, a vibe, or just a concept. From there, I build out melodies, write lyrics (in English, Spanish, or both), and record clean, expressive vocals in my treated booth. I deliver high-quality stems, offer up to 2 free revisions, and stay communicative throughout the process to make sure the final product matches your vision and feels authentic.

  23. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  24. A: My studio setup is designed for high-quality vocal production and fast workflow. I record with a Manley Reference Cardioid Tube Microphone into an Apollo Twin Interface, running through Pro Tools Studio on a Mac mini. I use Melodyne, Auto-Tune, Waves, and FabFilter for mixing and vocal tuning. The booth is acoustically treated for clean, radio-ready takes. I monitor everything with Yamaha HS5s and a subwoofer, making sure every detail is locked in before I deliver.

  25. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  26. A: Soul.

  27. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  28. A: I’m inspired by artists and producers who blend emotion with innovation — like Rauw Alejandro for his genre-bending vocals, Tainy for his futuristic Latin production, and PARTYNEXTDOOR for his raw songwriting and vibe-driven melodies. Their ability to connect cultures and still stay authentic pushes me creatively every time I step in the booth.

  29. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  30. A: The most common work I do is recording bilingual R&B vocals and writing Spanglish toplines or full songs from scratch. I deliver clean, emotional performances with strong melodies and commercial appeal.
