Pio is a classically trained violinist turned producer who has played with multiple symphony orchestras. He first got into production with an indie group project called Why Not Y, the first of two projects he created alongside longtime collaborator Ryan Raines (Peach Tree Rascals, Dominic Fike). Those projects were largely influenced by artists like Lorde, Kanye West, Vampire Weekend, St Vincent, Lianne La Havas and Clean Bandit. Pio has earned credits on Stokley Williams's (Mint Condition) debut solo album "Introducing Stokley” as well as Letoya Luckett’s album Back 2 Life. Pio works mainly in Pop, Hip-hop and R&B and is influenced by producers like Los Hendrix, Take a Daytrip, OZ, Roget Chahayed, Ian Kirkpatrick, Noah Shebib, & Sevn Thomas.
