I'm a professional audio engineer based in Athens (Greece). I'm lucky enough to work with wonderful artists such as Keep Shelly in Athens, Sarah P., RSN, Eksokosmikos, Monsieur Minimal etc.
The biggest part of my day is always spent in Artracks Recording Studios where I record, mix, edit and master your music, helping you communicate your art to your fans.
In my spare time I deal with compression.

Interview with Yannis Markopouliotis
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Greek hip-hop/drill albums.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Neither and both. Analog compliments digital and vice versa.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Final product is delivered exactly like/when you want it.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Communicate your needs, your budget and deadline right from the start.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I'm part of the industry for about 10 years. Projects get more complex as time goes by but I'm happy to be able to deliver the final product each artist wants.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Learn how to use a synthesizer.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hip-Hop, Pop, Soul etc.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Understanding/decoding what the artist wants even when one cannot explain with the right words.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a hybrid setup with a few chosen analog units (Manley Massive Passive EQ, 2A clones etc.) and a huge collection of DAW, audio editors and plugins.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mostly mix/master music and/or podcasts as well as creating DDP files.
