Ken brings over 50 years as a professional performing/recording musician to back-up artists in nearly any genre. From funk/soul to jazz, rock to country, Ken is an Inductee in the Iowa Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame, and has been the driving force for many bands, artists and symphony orchestras.

After beginning his professional career at the tender age of 13, Ken attended The University of Iowa School of Music, honing his skills as a drummer/percussionist and composer/arranger under the guidance of Professor Thomas L. Davis. Ken has spent his adult life on and off the road in a variety of bands including The Federal Reserve (’71-’73), Cabala (’76-’80), Express (’81-’83), City Soul Band (’83-’85), The Invisible Jazz Band and Hawk Rap (’85-’87; ‘17- present), Jasmine (’89-’03) The Agency Band (’14-’19) and as a co-founder of FunkDaddies (’03 - present). Ken is an Inductee in the Iowa Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. His performance experiences have ranged from Symphony Orchestras to Salsa, Fusion Jazz to Funk, Be Bop to the Blues, Rock to Raggae, Big Band, Country and just about every other style of music.
Ken’s dynamic style has been strongly influenced by such artists as David Garibaldi, Dave Weckl, Billy Cobham, Buddy Rich, Harvey Mason, Airto Moreira and Alex Acuna.
Ken’s ability to absorb and learn his clients' arrangements very quickly, and offer lead and back-up vocals make him an in-demand on-call musician.
