I record several bagpipes, accordion, and other folk instruments for Metal bands as well as folk, cinematic, and contemporary music projects. Alongside touring worldwide with Skiltron and Boisson Divine, I’m also a music teacher with a strong background in Celtic and Occitan traditional music.
I have strong experience recording folk instruments for high-energy and heavy productions, having tracked all the folk instruments for my own bands in my home studio. This gives me a deep understanding of how these instruments need to cut through dense mixes while keeping their raw, traditional character.
I record:
Scottish bagpipes
Gasconian bagpipes (boha)
Occitan oboe (clarin)
Irish bagpipes (uilleann pipes)
Diatonic (button) accordion
Tin whistle & low Irish whistle
Occitan three-hole flute (flabuta)
