Since my early rock roots playing on the Bruce Dickinson solo album Tattooed Millionaire, I have been fortunate to have spent the last 30 years playing bass live and recording with a wide variety of artists and fantastic musicians! I have also been engineering, producing and mixing music for nearly as long! I can record live, bespoke bass lines for your music remotely, through a very high quality DI unit (or amplifier, if required). I cover a range of styles from rock & blues, to soul & pop and have a good selection of both fretted and fretless, four and five-string basses, to help find the sound and performance that moves you and your audience. The bass line will be optimised to 'drop into' your mix with little processing required. Just send a simple mp3 mix of your song and we can work together from there, to the finished product.

If you are looking for more help with your music than just the bass line, I also offer a mixing service. I enjoy mixing as much as I do playing bass and will work to fine tune every detail of the sound to get your music sounding at its best! I work on Logic X Pro but can mix from any audio file format.

Andy is the consummate professional, the gold standard in session bass. I employed him on the hit Christmas movie 'Nativity' (for which I produced the soundtrack) and his work was simply flawless. If the bass is the foundation of a record, you won't build a more solid house than with Mr Carr laying down the groove.

Andy's record mixing skills are also superb - two for the price of one. Safe to say I'm a fan!
