Interview with Minor Major Studio
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started playing guitar when I was in highschool, after a couple years I move onto bass, I started taking private lessons and certifications on my own, from tonal and modal harmony to film scoring and orchestration. I finally got into Audio in which I have a Certification in Pro Tools, and Immersive Audio, amongst several Masterclasses in mixing and Mastering.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Knowing both worlds, as a recording musician and as an Engineer allows me to be more emphatic with my clients and their needs.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The freedom and the feeling that it doesnt feel like a job because I love it
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Every song is like a cope of snow to me, the approach is very unique each time, so, I always try to respect the vision of the Band and also follow my instinct on what the song requires.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: A lot of producers, but my favorite at the moment are Andy Wallace, James Bogren, Brendan O´Brien, Frederick Nordstrom, Mick Guzauski and Rick Beato; amongst others
