Interview with Callum McConville

  1. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  2. A: The type of session we are doing and what they're looking for at the end of the project firstly so i know whether this is to fit in with a larger project, if its a single for release or just looking for some production demos to pitch to other artists, I also like to ask for a little playlist of some music they've been enjoying and would like to potentially make so I can gather some potential sounds and come up with some little ideas prior to the session to get things going nice and quickly for when the inspiration really hits.

  3. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  4. A: Make sure you find someone who's best suited to your genre and have a chat with them to make sure your expectations match up in order to build a good relationship with your collaborator.

  5. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
