Zak Flores, a jazz drummer and composer based out of Nashville, TN, is the first and only call you would need to make when booking a live performance. Proficient in several styles of music from funk and Latin to hard rock or soul, he has built his reputation in Music City as a professional and hard-working musician.
Zak Flores is a jazz drummer and composer in the Nashville area known for his ability to straddle musical boundaries with creativity and professionalism. From country music to contemporary Christian to funk, Zak can play most any genre an artist would need but takes a special fondness to jazz and Latin music. Playing with groups such as The Steel Blossoms, Jazz Band 1, Cole Ritter and the Night Owls, The Travelin’ Rose Band, and many more, his playing is diverse and authentic, no matter gig.
In the fall of 2019, Zak started his collegiate career at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. While there, he began to gain an even broader knowledge of styles and, as a result, redefined his sound. He found his sound in the rich history and future of jazz as he began his studies in the various musical stylings of the world.
