My name is Hervé Jeanne, I love (tradition rooted) jazz and acoustic pop/soul music. I am a pro bass player (mainly upright, electric too) and owner of a recording studio (www.d-room.de).
I am constantly experimenting with bass strings and setup (I am well known in the bass community for my string comparison matrix on my website). My sound ideal is a slightly old-school orientated sound with a good punch but not too much "modern sustain". Still very clear pitch information and beautiful timbre.
Apart from playing live and in the studio for top artists, I also recorded the sampled upright bass on newer Yamaha Keyboards and I recoded several sample loop libraries.
