After decades of tracking and mixing, I got deep into acoustics now have a room that's ideal for mastering so I'm expanding.
People talk about gear and techniques as if there's some kind of mystery. Boost the good frequencies, cut the bad ones and don't distort. Ultimately, it's easy if you're monitoring on a system in a room where it's actually possible to hear everything accurately. That's the foundation for me - the room as the most important piece of equipment. The rest falls into place after that.
