Interview with Harry Bone

  1. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  2. A: I work mostly on melodic electronic music

  3. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  4. A: The setup consists of my Mac M1 - Genelec 8040bs - UAD Twin Apollo

  5. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  6. A: Four Tet - Floating Points - Caribou - Disclosure - Aphex Twin - Bonobo - Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs etc.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: A mixture! Both have their benefits but more importantly, they all have different sounds, so I believe it is a matter of preference in terms of how you work. I currently work by playing out of the box but then need to get in the box to edit it. Personally, I want to go more analogue as I am percussionist/drummer by trade.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I will always give my full energy, care and love for you project as you do! I know first hand how much time goes into your music and so it is my duty to serve the music.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: It's creative and I have to be creative! It's a part of my DNA and whilst that is cliche, it's true. I know this because I've had long periods of time away from music before and it was those moments that made me realise my bond to music.

  13. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  14. A: Talk! Send me a message and let's see if we're a right match.

  15. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  16. A: 1. My x2 Genelec 8040b 2. Zoom Hn5 3. Make Noise Strega 4. Piano 5. Drums
