Tomáš Huszaník

Session guitarist

Tomáš Huszaník on SoundBetter

Guitar player, composer, producer from Slovakia.

I am a Slovak guitarist with broad musical interests and a love for the craft. As a guitarist, one of my biggest concerns is finding my place in the musical structure of a song. The right tone, time, articulation is the key.
I love to take my time and put different layers to get the right feel and tone. I love playing guitar for people and contributing to their music. I'll bring unique sounds.

As far as session goes I'm happy to take specific instructions or no instructions at all and let creativity lead the way.

I feel home in blues, soul and rock, but I love to explore different genres.

I am the guitarist, composer and producer of a Slovak art-rock band Dennica.

Interview with Tomáš Huszaník

  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: It depends on the style/genre of music. For the convenience and more options I prefer to use digital.

  3. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  4. A: First I just play the song, no charts. I rather develop specific ideas or part of the song then just jamming along. I prefer what many call feel over speed or shred because that combination of feel and accuracy makes a good recording.

  5. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  6. A: When I'm working on your project I will be 100 percent in.

  7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  8. A: Just to be able to play.

  9. Q: How would you describe your style?

  10. A: Simple and clean

  11. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  12. A: The equipment is only as good as the people on either end of it. Your bedside manner is as important as your technical skill.

  13. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  14. A: Everything except metal, jazz and country

  15. Q: What's your typical work process?

  16. A: It depends on the project. For guitar sessions, I set up a guitar track, then play the song a few times while recording everything I do to catch those initial instictive ideas. Then start refining the parts. I prefer to record direct using modelers and plugins. I provide one track direct from the guitar pickup so the client can re-amp if they want to. The second track I provide is the dry amp track a the third track is the wet track, with all the effects and processing.
