Interview with Rasul

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: In a music production class, during a group project I took on the task of composing a melody for a hip hop track. I also recorded the vocals of a few of the artist in the group and we all mastered our vocals to the beat on a console. The project turned out well and I got to connect with a couple of musicians because of it.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I am currently working on a remake of an old R&B song, mixing and turning it into reggaeton for a client. He and his girlfriend are going to record a duet and once they have completed their verses I will mix down the track and master it.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: I currently do not know any one on sound better that I would recommend but as soon as I do I will place that recommendation.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: If I could afford and use analog gear I would because the sound of what it has produce does not compare. It has such a warm and rich feel to it which makes more captivating to the listener. Digital is great in the ease of use and storage but it can just feel like it's missing something more often than not.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I promise to work very hard and put my heart into what I make. I don't do this for money or fame, I do it simply because I love music.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Customers often ask me why do I like producing music and I say its a form of meditation and It's like I'm creating realities with my imagination. Songs lead to videos, which lead to more inspiration and influence of the mind, for better or worse. I do it to make the world and the environment I live in a better place.
