Guitarpriest (sanjaygahlot)is an independent lyricist ,composer,self accompanied singer on guitar & harmonica, a published musician.
T-Series launched his debut "Behki Si iss raat mein’ available on Spotify, iTunes, Saavn music, Gaana music.
He is essentially a musician and a keen musicologist.He has received classical training under renowned Samvadini maestro Pt Manohar Chimote of Virar. he has also taken diploma in classical guitar from Trinity College of music London.
But as far as Indian flute, steel guitar and harmonica is concerned, he is self taught by mere listening to the masters.
He plays 9 instruments including nylon string classical guitar, steel string guitar finger style and steel Hawaiian slide guitar besides harmonica and Indian bamboo flute,steel concert flute,piano,saxophone, accordion . He plays guitar and blue harp placed on a neck holder simultaneously like Bob Dylan.
Amongst the classical vocalists, he admires ustad Amir khan sahib. His favourite film music composers are late Naushaad sahib, madan mohan, JaiDev, SD Burman and the reason for admiration emanates from the fact that they were original in their work and did not even use any inspiration
