  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: Played pedal steel guitar on Cody Jinks first album that launched his career. The song Hippies and Cowboys has a record setting number of spins on Spotify

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Nothing currently

  8. A: Both have their positive and negative traits

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: If you don’t dig my work, don’t pay me. I will work with you to the best of my ability to make your project happen

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: The ability to work with so many different musicians with many different ideas and talents

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Availability, my cost per song, my experience, familiarity with the style of music.

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: Project status when I get called. How many songs. What basic style. Completion time line. Particular style your looking for from my instrument,etc.

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: Have an idea what your vision is for your project and allow your musicians input and to stretch out

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  20. A: Steel guitar, acoustic guitar,dobro,computer with an interface uplink and a power source

  21. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  22. A: 45 years playing pedal steel guitar. Playing with local and road bands. In the 80s I worked in many house bands 5-6 nights a week.

  23. Q: How would you describe your style?

  24. A: Whatever style I can play to make the client happy

  25. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  26. A: Country,singer/ songwriter original material classic country,swing

  27. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  28. A: Can work quickly

  30. A: Originality. I try to play my style and if nessasary play I particular style the client is happy with

  31. Q: What's your typical work process?

  32. A: If in studio, the client explains the need and we work through the song and evaluate from there.

  33. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  34. A: A simple computer,Sonus interface running Studio one software

  35. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  36. A: The old school creators of the pedal steel guitar. Paul Franki Lin Jr.,the most recorded pedal steel guitarist is a great inspiration as well a Buddy Emmons.

  37. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  38. A: Clients call,check my availability. If our calendars syce, we talk about their projects, their need,etc.they will send tracks and charts and go from there
