Hi there! I'm a professional singer and songwriter with 10 years of experience under my belt who has worked with Grammy awards winning artists behind the scenes as a background vocalist, and songwriter. Throughout my career, my work has been heard in Independent films, on the radio, and on editorial Spotify playlists.

As a versatile Mezzo Soprano vocalist, I have an innate ability to sing various genres such as Pop, R&B, EDM, and Country, which allows me to connect with audiences from all walks of life. My love for music doesn't stop there - I've also had the opportunity to work as a film composer for an Independent film, which was a surreal experience that allowed me to showcase my skills beyond just singing.

From performing at renowned venues like the House of Blues in Dallas, to being recognized as a finalist for Best Jazz Song at the World Songwriting Awards in 2022, my passion for creating soulful melodies has been nothing short of exhilarating.

I am also proud to say that I am a founder of my record label, Underground Life Records where I get to work alongside other artists and help them bring their unique visions to life. Overall, my mission is always to create music that resonates with others and inspires positive change.

Interview with Nicole Mariee

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Cleo Sol. Mainly because her journey is similar to mine, and our vocal styles are similar to each other. Her songwriting capabilities are amazing.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: My first love is R&B and Jazz, but I do work in other genres such as; Pop, country, and edm. Neo soul is another favorite as well.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I love creating lush harmonies! A producer I was working with in 2020, wanted to know how I come up with intricate harmonies, but I don't have a formula, I just have an ear for it.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I always make sure I bring a certain emotion to a song. Whatever the song calls for that's what I aim to bring to the table. What helps me the most is getting into character, how an actor does when on set. That's the same mindset I have when approaching my own music or for a client.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have dual monitor screens, that is connected to my MacBook, and a midi keyboard on my desk. I currently am using the volt 1 interface which is amazing! For my mic, I have a Rode NT1 - Large Microphone, with sound panels within my studio along the walls for sound proofing. For my main keyboard, I have my favorite 88 weighted key Casio.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I love Amel Larrieux, she's one of my biggest inspirations, but I'm also a big fan of Cleo Sol. Her sound and songwriting is impeccable.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type of work I do for my clients is features, harmonies, and demo session work.
