I mix songs to aggreed upon highest and most striking potential
Mixing is far from what I have done most of in my life as a musician but has grown to my primary strenght. Guitar and actually formaly schooling of classical and folk violin was were I started. I quickly became a tone chaser and embraced all instruments of a rock instrumentation setup at the core. Let's say that I now can perform Morning Has Broken accurately on piano but is one or two level above that on fingered and picked bass guitar, then several levels above that on guitar. I am probably appear most impressive a a folk style finger picker or lead guitarist but I work best as creative and hyper steady rythm guitarist in a wide range of styles. Years of formal schooling of violin made me not at all decent compared to trained violinist but made me read music and keep a live and understanding of orchestration, certainly for strings fitted to typical popular music throughout recorded music history. I currently appriciate drumming more than anything. Songwriting with lyrics to make albums is forever really my greatest passion. I sing quite well on record at least.
I've been producing and mixing remotely from a home studio setup for 9 years but the years before that of being in bands and recording and arranging and get tone to "fit my guitar in the mix" and so on made the transition quick since I only had to link and develope knowledge I already had.
