Interview with Stranded studio
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. I have a hybrid system as I believe the pros from both can help a lot.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I have a band in called Dreamcatcher a lot and my favourite song is 40mg. Its a project that allowed me to use new ideas with techniques and equipment. My role was engineer and a small amount of producer with helping to develop ideas with new instruments.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is very open and free. I believe that music needs Imperfections as it then has a more human feel to the music.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work mainly on soft emo and classic rock.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I have an old school tape style approach to my work process.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a small 24 channel analogous mixing desk running into a cubase based PC. I like to run this setup as if I was running reel to reel to try and bring some analoge feel to the process.
