Session Bass Guitar Musician

Hi there! I'm Miguel, a highly experienced session bass guitar musician with nearly 20 years of playing under my belt. I have a strong foundation in jazz, but my versatility extends to various genres, including rock, progressive rock, blues, folk, gipsy jazz, and neo soul.

My journey as a musician started with a deep passion for jazz, which led me to study at the esteemed Oporto Jazz School, refining my skills and musicality. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with renowned bands and artists such as Orquesta Ilegal de Barcelona, Saravá, Pet Recycle, Ananda, The ElefAnts, straylove, Shelly Philips, rines, among others. These collaborations have allowed me to develop a deep understanding of various genres and harness the ability to create captivating bass lines that truly enhance musical compositions.

In addition to my prowess on the bass guitar, I have honed my skills as a producer, recording engineer, and mixer. Using state-of-the-art Universal Audio gear and a complete suite of preamps and amps, I have a keen ear for capturing the perfect tone for each genre. Whether it's crafting a warm and intimate acoustic jazz performance or delivering the driving energy of a rock track, my commitment to exceptional production values ensures a polished and professional end result.
