It's all about authenticity: my creative vision and skills will help you achieve your true artistic expression. 3M+ streams across all platforms (both as a producer/songwriter and as an artist) and 10+ years of studio experience working in multiple genres of alternative music such as Alt Rock, Hyperpop, Metal, Glitch Pop, EDM and Dubstep.
Ciao! I'm Mr. Ugo from Rome, Italy and I'm a true music nerd since I was a 6 years old little boy.
I have worked relentlessly on my skills since then, and I am now a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist with a holistic vision of music.
I average 100-150 songs I work on every year since 2014, both for independent artists and major labels (such as Sony Music Italy and Universal), and I've had song placements with Warner Chappell as a songwriter.
My biggest skill is taking something good and make it amazing, through production, songwriting, and general creative input meant to elevate your work into the absolute best it can be.
I am able to comfortably work with deadlines and I value honest and efficient communication, in order to deliver the best I can according to your expectations.
I'm fairly new to this platform, so I'm offering my services at competitive rates, but I'm certainly not new to working on music projects with creatives far away in the big world :)
Get in touch with me and let's collaborate to release your creative potential!

Interview with Mr. Ugo
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I only do "crazy music". I can definitely bring uniqueness and genre blends to the table, but I always have in mind the Song and the fulfillment of the Artist's vision as my main focus.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I have dealt with many different genres of music, but the ones that I enjoy the most working on are mainly alternative genres that include some kind of electric guitar and synthesizers and creative vocal production.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a great sense of melody and song structure, and an outside-of-the-box creative input that often leads to authenticity and uniqueness
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My setup is not a multi-million dollar facility with crazy vintage gear: it's a simple setup with a master keyboard, two pairs of high quality monitors, a few guitars and a couple good microphones. It's built for efficiency, everything is always plugged in, and everything is meant to remove any distractions from the actual creative decisions that matter.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My favorite producers and songwriters are, among others: brakence (for his creativity and sound selection), Louis Bell (for his insane vocal production skills), Zakk Cervini (for his unique approach to a massive sound), Ryan Tedder (toplines and song structure)
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Usually my clients send me a rough demo of a song they have in mind, maybe on a type beat, maybe on just a piano or an acoustic guitar. I give them feedback based on their artistic vision and their project as a whole, and guide them in the songwriting process, send them topline ideas, different song structure if needed, etc. Then we come up with reference tracks for the production stage, and at this point I dive deep into the arrangement and sounds selection, sharing my thought process behind my decisions when delivering them the first version of the song. If all the steps have been made with proper communication and good vibes, the file delivered rarely needs any revisions, and if it does, they are usually about minor details.
