Producer pop R&b jazz

Gold Record with a group called Ripple...,KidnPlay sampled it... Black Eyed Peas sampled it (MABUTA) I sang bg on Alisha Bridges( i love the night life)

My passion for music grew, and I learned to play guitar and bass.
I enjoyed listening to players like Guitarist Johnny Smith, George Benson,
Walter Becker, and Joyce Cooling.
Later, I was introduced to a man named Floyd Smith.
Floyd Produced Lolita Holloway and wrote for Bunny Segal.
Floyd introduced me to a small record company called Fipi Records...
They were right next door to Brunswick Records
so, I got a chance to do background and played on a few tracks for artist like Donny Hathaway,
Little Milton, Tyrone Davis, and Gene Chandler.
Floyd Smith took me to Kalamazoo Michigan and placed me with a group called Ripple.
Ripple was signed with GRC Records which was owned by Mike Thevis in Atlanta, Ga.
In 1973 I wrote a hit record for Ripple called SURE IS FUNKY,
Ripple as a one hit wonder with the song Sure is funky and
20 yrs. later Kid N Play recordedPlay recorded the hook line to my song and put it
In their movie called House Party.
By that time my taste for Smooth Jazz and Adult Contemporary
Influenced my writing, along with searching for the meaning of life.
When Ripple Broke up, I went back to doing clubs to earn a living.
