Interview with Attila Carlesimo

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My solo project is what I’m most proud of from ideas from my dreams to making it a reality. I performed all the guitars, bass, vocals produced everything and even mixed a few songs for myself. This is the first project I have done for myself and I loved every minute of it.

  3. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  4. A: In anything, I would want the artist to feel peace and that the producer understands the vision and believes in the project as much as the artist does.

  5. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  6. A: I just finished my first solo project.

  8. A: Matty Harris mix engineer once we are done either I will mix it or go straight to Matty hands down one the best in the industry.

  10. A: Both. Whatever the song calls for and the feel is what we will use.

  12. A: I will work until you are 100% satisfied.

  16. A: Turn around time My turn around time is 2-5 days with the first round.

  17. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  18. A: That producers or mix engineers never make mistakes.

  20. A: On a scale of 1-10 10 being committed how committed to yourself and this dream are you.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I’ve been producing music for 15 years. My mission is to be able to give independent/any artist competing sounding music.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Nostalgic, edgy, modern.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: I’d love to work with Travis barker and Breaking Benjamin. Travis for his drum production and breaking Benjamin for those deep rich and outstanding guitars.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: A good master will not make a bad mix sound great but a great mix will sound good even with a lesser quality master.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Alternative. Punk rock. Pop rock. Hard rock.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Putting Guitar leads in the precise place and time, into any song is what I live for. Rather it’s on Guitar piano synth it will be right for the song.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I bring a listening ear to the artist or bands dream sound. I provide fast turn around time and long lasting melodies. My guitar leads are out of this world.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: Step 1 lets get on the phone. Step 2 send me any ideas or if you don’t have anything I’ll get to work with the vision you are hearing in your head. Step 3 you approve it.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: The real studio is in the heart of the creator. Yes I have all the big analog gear as well as any plug-in, you can imagine. SSL board all the industry leading guitars, bass amps, drums. Keys, synths anything we need to create and capture your sound is available at our fighter tips.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: My main inspiration is definitely having the ear to bring modern sounds and rhythm with infusing early 2000’s nostalgia punk/pop/rock Think all American rejects meets breaking Benjamin with a touch of MGK.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: As an artist myself, my approach to any project is to make the listener stay listening. My strongest ability is to capture what’s in the artist head and bring that to life rather you are humming or have a iPhone recording of 10 seconds I’ll know the direction you want and need to go.
