I'm a cellist, double bassist, arranger and composer with many years of professional experience. You can hear some of my work in the clip posted here. The Loch Tay track is my own arrangement and features me playing solo double bass at the beginning and solo cello later on.

As a musician, I enjoy performing and composing in a number of genres. My core specialisms are classical and celtic/folk, but I'm equally happy working in other styles too, particularly cross-over. I really enjoy arranging work (for strings or other groups of instruments) and have produced arrangements and original compositions for recordings and live performances.

I regularly perform on both cello and double bass. I have had the opportunity to play in many premiere performances of new works by living composers. I enjoy orchestral, ensemble, chamber and solo playing. I'm also able to play simple lines on viola, as needed (you can hear some of that in the Loch Tay track).

Whatever your project, I'm happy to discuss your needs with you, even if you have a restricted budget. I have worked with other musicians on Sound Better for my own compositions too, so I have plenty of experience with recording, mixing and editing audio tracks.

Once again, Mike delivered creative and quality Cello Tracks! But this time, Mike arranged and recorded Cello Overdubs to accompany another Artist's Cello Lead. Mike has a great ear for improvising accompanying harmonic sectionals! He does an excellent job and is a pleasure with whom to work.
