Hello! My name is Nikos Sofis, I am a lyricist from Greece, currently residing in Germany. I have started writing lyrics in 2011, having since collaborated with various songwriters and artists from across Europe, in a variety of genres. I have done a lot of work around Eurovision and am really looking forward working with you!
I listen to a wide variety of genres, ranging from Blues, Pop, to Metal. So far my songwriting genres range from Pop to Metalcore. Having started writing in 2011, my first release came in 2014. Since, I have worked a lot around the Eurovision Song Contest resulting in songs for a variety of artists in a variety of countries. I look forward hearing from you and can say that I am really excited on working on some amazing projects!
Songs I have written on have combined over 2.8 million views on YouTube and over 3 million streams on Spotify.
Besides working around the Eurovision Song Contest, I also am the main lyricist for rock band Clödie and edm/pop duo VoColor. Since 2021, I also write for Italian label Frontiers Music.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Working on new music!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I'll do my best!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: What I like most about working around music is that I am working on songs of my own. It's an amazing feeling listening to a completed song knowing that you have written the lyrics to this one.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: My advice would be to not tackle the collaboration as work, but as a time all parties involved have a good time and enjoy doing!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have started writing in 2011.. Actually my first lyric, which then also became my first release, was intended to be a dedication to my then girlfriend.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I would describe my style as simple. It really depends on what I feel when listening to a track.. If it inspires me, how it inspires me, and so on. My writing style varies, just as my music taste. I can write about love, it can get more political, or even pretty dark..
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: There are many many many artists I would like to work with in fact. Artists like Joe Bonamassa, Richard Marx, Dead By April, Backstreet Boys, Michael Bolton, and the list goes on and on and on..
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I don't like focusing on just one style of music, it would easily bore me.. I need variety to stay motivated.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My typical work process is that I started making ideas and start writing after listening to the track itself, either with or without a provided melody line. Surely, it can be easier sometimes when the melody line is provided by the composer.
