Need some awesome vocals for your Rock or Metal song? Count me in! I've been singing for over 20 years in different Rock and Metal bands and projects. I'd love to be on your song too!

For many years I've been the singer of KFFR. More recently I joined some other projects and eventually started doing session vocals for a broad scala of music. I also do voiceovers and character voices so if you need a spoken word intro or a monsterly roar I can help you out with that as well.

I'm an adult male with a bit over 3 octaves of vocal range, mostly in the baritone/tenor realm. Native Dutch speaker and fluent in English with a neutral accent.

I record at home on my Neumann TLM 102 microphone and Steinberg UR12 interface. Or, if you're in the Netherlands, I can come to your studio if you cover the travel expenses.

My comfortable vocal range is somewhere between E2 and G4. I can go a bit lower or higher than that as you can hear in my samples but not for too long.

Interview with Michel Hoogervorst

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital, but only because I don't own analog gear (and I don't know how to operate it). I love recording in analog studios.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: That's quite easy for a singer! My Microphone, a cable, an interface, headphones and laptop. ;-)
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Old-school Metal would be the first that comes to mind. My voice usually brings some 80s Heavy/Thrash Metal vibes into a song.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly Hardrock and Heavy Metal, but occasionally some other kinds of music like a Halloween song using 3 different character voices and Death/Doom with deep growls.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I record in a well treated space using a Neumann TLM 102 microphone and Steinberg UR12 interface on my Macbook into Reaper.
