SAM NAVEL on SoundBetter

Producer/mixer/engineer/ based in Paris Fr. I was trained at Eastcote Studios London UK (www.eastcotestudios.co.uk) Credit include Tindersticks/ Brian Johnson/ Adele/ Duran Duran/ Cascadeur/ Puggy...

After a stint as an assistant at Studio Pigalle (Paris), I was dragged to London by Craig Silvey and Baxter Dury. I then start working at the mighty Eastcote Studios (www.eastcotestudios.co.uk). I’ve worked on album from Kaiser Chiefs, 2 Door Cinema Club, Adele (I was the assistant on Rolling in the deep) Mumford and sons, ...learning my craft from the like of Paul Epworth, Ethan Johns, Markus Dravs, Mark Ranson and more.
At the same time, I started working with Jazz Artist with the like of Gilad Atzmon, Gary Husband....
I've now mixed and/or engineer more than 40 jazz albums.
Now based in Paris, I work as a Freelance and I'm used to be working in studios like La Frette studio, QDS, Black box...) and obviously I've got my own mix room.
Recent notable work includes engineering for The Tindersticks, mixing Cascadeur and recording/mixing/ producing upcoming releases form French Independents artists: Hedena, Back in The City and Mazingo....
I love to record, produced and track band live in the same room before spending some time experimenting. I’m a big fan of synth and modular gear.
I'm available to work anywhere on a freelance basis or in my place on mixing or overdub purpose.
I’m all set up and used to do remote work, but I've got a preference for being with the people I work with, feel free to contact to discuss

Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.

  4. A: Just finish the new tindersticks record, produced record and mix the upcoming "back in the city" first record.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?
