Interview with Queen ARIES
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I am very proud of my time spent with Broadway In The Hood Theater Company, when they came to Las Vegas and I starred as 'Shug Avery" in "The Color Purple" - 2022.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Releasing Singles and building momentum for a full album release in the 4th quarter, in between that, I'm gigging with a popular west coast band Rhythm Nation.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Producer and DJ JackEL, we've worked together for years and he even referred me to SoundBetter.

A: Digital, just to stay modern.

A: Meeting people!

A: My latest projects have been House/Techno but I love singing Ballets and anything in between for that matter #ILoveMusic

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Make sure you're getting your money's worth...
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: pocket knife, lighter, sleeping bag, soap, toothbrush... idk???
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I am a proud member of the "Motown" family (Gordy and Gaye in my blood) so I have been singing professionally since I was 8yrs old, as a 1st Soprano in the Lyric Opera of Chicago Children's Chorus (Anika Latham) until I was 16yrs old. Once my family found out I could sing I was trained and have been working up until and including the present.

A: Jimmy Jam and/or Terry Lewis was always my dream! #JanetJackson
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: I can only speak from my own experience, but I've learned that High vibes and kind words go a long way and Producer's are human too... love your Production Team and respect everyone - the Studio is no place for egos!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Top 40, House, Techno, Dance, R&B, Classical/Arias
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is working well with people no matter what race, livelihood or whatever! #spreadinglove
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A 6 octave Vocal Range, quick studio work - i won't waste your money - awesomely professional work ethic and a great attitude!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I try to stay within the boundary of 1min = 1hr. Therefore, a 3 min. song should take no more than 3 hours to record vocals - including backgrounds.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work hand-in-hand with a few studios in my city that are state-of-the-art and my clients are all, very pleased. ProTools is my favorite program however.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am a "Theater Kid" so I was raised to appreciate all music but being a true Chicagoan, I love House Music, Techno and Dance.
