Interview with Md Raihan

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: One of my proudest works is a chillout track that gained wide appreciation on YouTube for relaxing and emotional vibes. I handled everything from composing, arranging, sound design, to final mastering — and it still stands among my most-streamed tracks.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I’m currently working on an instrumental chillout EP under my music brand “Chillout Afternight”, and also producing several ambient tracks for YouTube and short film soundtracks.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: I’m still exploring the platform, but I always respect artists who bring their own stories and creativity to the table. If I collaborate with someone great, I’ll surely recommend!

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital — because it’s flexible, fast, and offers an endless range of sounds. But I often combine analog-style warmth through plugins or hardware for that authentic feel.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I promise full dedication to quality, creativity, and communication. I’ll make sure your track not only sounds amazing, but also feels right — just how you imagined it.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: What I love most is transforming a simple idea into a complete, moving piece of music. Seeing clients emotionally connect with the final product is the most rewarding part.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Most clients ask: "Can you make it sound like [some famous artist]?" My answer: "Absolutely! I can capture that style and emotion, while still keeping your song original and unique

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: Many people think music production is just clicking buttons! In reality, it’s a deep creative process that involves emotion, storytelling, and technical precision to make every song feel alive.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: I typically ask about their creative inspiration, reference tracks, emotional tone of the project, and what they hope to feel when the song is done. Understanding your vision helps me bring it to life.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Make sure the provider truly understands the emotion and idea behind your project. Communication is key! Also, check that their previous work aligns with your vision in terms of genre, quality, and vibe.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: If I were on a desert island, I’d take: 1. My laptop with FL Studio 2. A MIDI keyboard (preferably Arturia) 3. My favorite headphones (Audio-Technica M50x) 4. Focusrite Scarlet audio interface 5. An external SSD loaded with my essential sound libraries and plugins Even on a desert island, I’d still find a way to create chill, emotional vibes!

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I started making music as a hobby during my early teens and gradually moved into producing full tracks. Over the past few years, I’ve worked as a freelance music producer for YouTubers, indie filmmakers, and meditation content creators. It's been 3+ years of passionate learning and growing.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: My style is ambient, emotional, and cinematic — with a focus on late-night, nostalgic vibes. I blend soft textures, chill beats, and dreamy melodies to create music that feels like a personal journey for the listener.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: I would love to work with artists like James Blake or Joji. Their emotional depth and minimalistic yet haunting production style deeply resonate with mine. Collaborating with them would push my creative boundaries while blending our unique sounds.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Always leave room for silence and dynamics. Music isn’t just about sound — it’s also about space. A well-balanced mix with headroom and emotional pacing creates a more immersive experience.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I usually work on chillout, ambient, lofi, emotional cinematic, and electronic instrumental genres. Many of my productions are used for YouTube, short film scoring, and relaxation content.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: My strongest skill is crafting atmospheric, chillout, and late-night vibes that evoke emotion. I’m efficient in sound design and mixing to create a clean, emotional, and professional finish.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I bring emotional depth, cinematic atmosphere, and a storytelling vibe to songs. Clients often appreciate how I add unique textures and ambiance that elevate the entire project.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I usually start by understanding the client’s mood and intention for the track. Then I create a rough instrumental layout, followed by layering melodies, samples, and effects. Once approved, I move forward with detailing, mixing, and mastering.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: My studio setup includes a Focusrite Scarlett audio interface, Yamaha HS8 monitors, a MIDI keyboard (Arturia), and FL Studio for production. I also use high-quality plugins like Omnisphere, Valhalla Reverb, and FabFilter to make the mix clean and spacious.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I’m inspired by producers like ODESZA, Nujabes, and Hans Zimmer. Their ability to create immersive emotional soundscapes has always motivated me to push boundaries and shape my own style.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I mostly work as a music producer and mixing engineer, specializing in ambient, emotional, and chillout music. I help clients craft unique sonic experiences by composing, producing, and finalizing radio-ready tracks that align with their vision.
