I'm a vocalist and arranger with a jazz background so singing and arranging BGVs and a capella parts with fresh-sounding harmonies is my specialty.
I'm an Amsterdam-based vocalist, songwriter, and arranger with a soulful sound who pulls inspiration from jazz harmonies and combines it with pop/soul/R&B vocals and grooves.
I have a lot of experience in singing and arranging BGVs and a cappella arrangements. Therefore, this is something I'm very passionate about and it shines through in each of my specially-tailored arrangements, whether it's for someone else's project or one of my own songs.
To see how I would put my twist on other songs with my use of harmony, you can also check out my TikTok page where I have a bunch of arrangements of popular songs:

Interview with Kadi
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I would describe my personal style as jazz-influenced pop music. I love combining jazz harmonies with powerful pop-soul vocals. Even though this is what the music I write is like, I'm always open to exploring other styles to keep growing as a musician.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: On my debut single!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Salea! She's an amazing female vocalist, songwriter, and producer who is amazing to work with!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will treat your music with the utmost respect and give my all to bring it to the next level with my vocals and harmonies.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love that every project is unique in its own way and I can give other people joy by doing something I love.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: One of the main questions is what sound and atmosphere they have in mind for the song. That way I can find out what their vision is for the song and I get a clear idea of how to bring that to life.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started studying singing and classical flute 19 years ago and soon after that, I started performing at concerts and competitions as a soloist and also in a jazz a cappella group. After high school, I decided to make a career of it and went on to study music. During that period, I mostly performed as a backing vocalist for different artists, started transcribing music, making arrangements for people, and also writing original music. Now, at 26 years old, I just finished my jazz bachelor's and started focusing on building my career as an artist.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I would say that my greatest asset is my ear for harmonies! Whether it's coming up with an additional line to complement the lead vocals or finding out the chords of a song, it comes quite naturally to me and it's also something I enjoy doing.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A lot of layered vocals with loads of (sometimes unexpected) harmonies!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: If it's for making arrangements and recording vocals for other people, I narrow down, what kind of sound they are looking for and then start with listening to it to get the song in my system. After that, I record a lead vocal draft let my creativity flow, and start adding and adjusting harmonies until I'm happy with it.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Usually, I get asked to do a lead + backing vocals arrangement, which includes making the arrangement and recording the tracks with doubles. If the client wishes, I will also write down the arrangement and send the sheet music for it so they can recreate it later on.
