I got the pro-level gear and a “let’s do this” attitude, so feel free to get in touch any time, even if for casual chat.

Interview with Riki Platt

  1. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  2. A: I bring rock solid timing, which is super important for both live performance and in the studio. I love playing to a click track, but even if I am not using one, clients are always complimenting me on my timing. Drummers are the glue of the band, so its gotta be strong and tight!

  3. Q: What's your typical work process?

  4. A: Having that initial good old chat to find out exactly what the client is needing fo their project, and what their main goal is that they are trying to achieve is super important. Once established, I can work on learning the songs, and adjusting my playing style/gear to suit the desired outcome.

  5. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  6. A: My studio set up is a Tama Starclassic Birch/Bubinga 4 piece, Ludwig Supraphonic bronze snare, Zildjian 15" New Beat Hi-Hats, 16" Zildjian Dark Crash, 19" Zildjian A Custom crash.

  7. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  8. A: The most common type of work I get asked to do is live performance. I work well under a deadline and can learn people's songs quickly, ready to join them on stage.
