This has been a fascinating project to work on so far, and has opened my ears to a world of traditional music from the US that I knew probably existed but hadn't as yet explored. Some truly lovely melodies there that very much deserve to be kept alive.
Kyle's treatment of it all is uniformly wonderful, truly original, and sensitive to the emotive content. Plus he's a real pleasure to work with.
I shall miss it when we've finished.

Another beautifully structured interpretation of an old folk tune from Kyle, blending traditional instruments from multiple cultures. I can honestly say that the use of glass harmonica in this context is a new one on me, but it works beautifully in these pieces. But the reason these are such a pleasure to do is the clear structural signposting, that really lends itself to arranging for strings. Very emotive stuff.
