30M+ streams audio engineer based in london. 4 years of recording, mixing and Dolby Atmos.
I started as an assistant in a studio in Mexico, where I recorded and mixed music for national and international artists. I then moved to London to get a degree in sound production, where I learned to use large format desks and studied several recording techniques, as well as Dolby Atmos mixing for film and music.
I studied diverse techniques for mixing immersive formats that can be applied to any genre. I then developed a workflow that can suit any artist or type of production, enhancing the sound if you hear it either in my 7.1.4 studio or in binaural.
I am also a Drummer, having played drums for more than 10 years. I studied classical and contemporary percussion, which gave me the technique and musical background to achieve any type of sound while recording as a session musician. I am familiar with pop, rock, funk, jazz, afrocuban, among others.

Interview with Arturo Mena Leon
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Various Stereo and Atmos Mixes, along with a feature film where I worked on the Foley. (Jul '25). I also have a couple projects that still are in preproduction that I can't wait to have so I can start mixing.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Hearing the before and after of a song. Comparing the demo to the recording, and the recording to the stereo mix and the mix to the Dolby Atmos. It is just amazing how much a song can change over tim when you tailor the sound and focus on the small details that make you sound professional.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I do a lot of Hip-Hop because life took me on that direction, but I enjoy working on Latin and Jazz more than anything. Also Rock and Metal are super fun to work in.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have access to an SSL G+ that I use to process tracks. Then I do final touch in the box
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Andrew Scheps, Josh Gudwin, Jaycen Joshua.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Editing, tuning, Mixing and Mastering. Dolby Atmos in case there is the need for it.
