Ilkka Karti on SoundBetter

A young producer, dedicated to learn and give my absolute best to make the next project better than the last.

Hello there! I am Ilkka Karti, a composer, musician and a rather new producer. I took my first steps into the world of mixing and mastering a couple years ago in the form of awful GarageBand demos and worked my way through many personal projects to gain experience as I go.

I don't have an extremely vast range of experience yet, but I am dedicated to learn and give my best for each and every project to make it the best possible showcase of my work - to let the results do the talking instead. I have a passion to create awesome soundscapes and compositions, as music is a really important thing for me.

As I stated before, I am a musician turned into a mixing engineer. So not only would I be glad to mix and master your project, I would also be happy to help you produce your song from just an idea into a full anthem with your vision as an only priority.

What comes to pricing, the already listed costs are general guidelines but the actual price will be depending on the project. For example, a 3-minute rock song is very much less work than say a 15-minute prog anthem and will be then priced accordingly.

You can find more of my mixing, mastering, drum programming and producing on my Youtube channel:

  4. A: Digital - I can't afford analog :D

  5. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  6. A: Trying to always outmatch myself and being part of art taking form.

  7. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  8. A: EQ and compression are the holy grail of music production :D If you master those two, you're pretty much good to go!

  9. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  10. A: I usually work on metal, but I have done some rock and other projects too. I would be happy to do any kind of music.

  11. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  12. A: I try to bring a requested sound and feel to a song to the best of my abilities.

  13. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  14. A: I'm a huge fan of Nolly for his ability to make music be really experienced through even the crappiest of speakers. As a musician, I am among others inspired from a band called Aviations for their really complex yet somehow simple and catchy music and vibe.
