Caspar Sutton-Jones is a distinguished mastering engineer based in London, renowned for his expertise in analogue mastering and vinyl cutting. Serving as the Mastering Engineer at Gearbox Records, he operates within a full-analogue mastering and disc-cutting facility that specialises in reel-to-reel tape mastering, vinyl cuts, and direct-to-disc recordings.
His portfolio boasts an array of notable projects, including disc mastering for The Prodigy’s chart-topping album ‘No Tourists’, Bryan Ferry’s ‘Bitter Sweet’ — featured in the TV series Babylon Berlin — and the restoration and mastering of the previously unreleased 1963 Thelonious Monk album ‘Mønk’. Caspar has also collaborated with a diverse range of artists such as Nitin Sawhney, Shirley Collins, Skinshape, Hak Baker, Abdullah Ibrahim (Dollar Brand), and Moses Boyd.
