Merch has been an absolute dream to work with! I had been shopping around for producers/studios for my upcoming project and toured a lot of places but didn't find the right fit. That is til I sat down to chat with Merch. He's been such an incredible sounding board and active collaborator in creating this EP! Not only is he skilled technically, but he goes out of his way to create a safe environment where artists feel heard and is unafraid to go the distance to make sure the song is perfect! Cannot recommend working with him enough!

Merch has been a blessing to my music career. His ability to engineer sounds and production have helped me grow tremendously as an artist. I opened for Common in front of 10,000+ people just last year and it was Merch who engineered my entire performance. It is THE highlight of my musical career and I owe that to him. From in studio to onstage, Merch has an unmatched skill set. He’s seamless to work with and he understands nuances the creative process, as he himself is an artist too.

Working with merch has helped me really get my sound. I feel like as an artist it is hard to be in a place where we don’t know what are sound is or where we want to take it. Merch gives great options and is willing to work with you to find your perfect fit . When it comes to sound quality, they have some of the best I’ve heard in Colorado. Blessed to be able to work with him. Having him on your team is asset!

Working with Merch has been the most transformative experience of my life so far. He is so unbelievably talented, always looking for new ways to evolve and improve his craft even more, rather than feeling satisfied with where he’s at. Merch will see your visions and desires for your art all the way through to the end while also making additions and suggestions to perfect the music without taking away from your original message. I couldn’t ask for a better producer. One of the most down to earth and respectful people I have ever met too. Worth every penny and will take your music to new heights

Working with Merch has been nothing short of therapy for my soul. The process of creating this 22 song album together has been an incredible journey challenging, inspiring, and deeply fulfilling. Every session is a safe space where creativity thrives, and I feel truly seen and heard as an artist. I couldn’t imagine working with anyone else. Merch brings out the best in me, and this album wouldn’t be what it is without his genius. If you’re lucky enough to collaborate with Merch, you’re in for something extraordinary.

Working with Merch on my EP Motion Sick was truly a transformative experience. From start to finish, he created an environment where I felt completely comfortable to explore and grow as an artist. His creativity, patience, and attention to detail played a huge role in helping me develop not just the sound of the project, but also my writing and vocal ability.

This EP—an R&B/pop blend—came out so beautiful and sensual, and I know that’s in large part because of Merch’s vision and guidance. He didn’t just produce the music—he nurtured my artistry and brought the best out of me.

I kid you not, this guy is more talented and easy to work with than anyone I have ever met. It has truly been an honor learning and growing with him, and developing myself as an artist as well. I recorded my first ever album with him, still have been working, and will continue to work with him for as long as he is willing. Be ready to evolve, have fun, and allow your vision to come to life. One of the best decisions I ever made. Peace

Interview with Merch

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: Our team had the opportunity to create a theme song for Colorado Springs, also known as Olympic City, USA, in anticipation of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The song has been played all over the world, to include in Paris for the games. I was the producer, recording engineer, mixing engineer, mastering engineer, and one of the songwriters for the song.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Through our Music House After School Program at Anthem Music Enterprises, we just released an album with our students called "School of Rap, Vol. 1". The album was distributed by Roc Nation and has garnered a lot of local attention in Colorado.

  5. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  6. A: So many artists grow frustrated in their careers because they don't feel like anyone is truly able to translate what they hear in their head out into the physical world. I love being able to provide that connection for people.

  7. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  8. A: When it comes to full artist development, I ask all my clients to lay out a 3-year plan. I then ask them what their monthly investment into their music career will be. From there, I'm able to assess where they're at in their journey and what services I can offer to best assist them.

  9. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  10. A: The work I do won't build your voice for you, it'll only amplify the voice you've built for yourself.

  11. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  12. A: I've been producing for almost a decade. Before I ever touched music, I was a breakdancer for 10 years. I've always been super passionate about the effect art has on mental health, and dance was the first medium I ever explored. Now, I help artists find their voice through production. I've worked with hundreds of artists all over the world, from Grammy & Emmy Winners to aspiring artists working on their first original composition.

  13. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  14. A: I'd love to work with Pharrell. His career path encompasses the exact positioning I want to attain in the Music Industry, and I feel like I could learn so much from how he operates.

  15. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  16. A: Silence is the funkiest sound. I love to use elements of silence in my production; I think it makes my production style super unique.

  17. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  18. A: My niche is definitely female R&B singers. Of the 12 studio albums I've Executive Produced in the last 3 years, 7 of them have been female R&B singers. I have an incredible team of co-producers, musicians, and songwriters under the Anthem Music Enterprises umbrella, and with them, our team is able to cover vastly different projects, ranging from Hip-hop anthems to cinematic ballads to jazz/funk masterpieces.

  19. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  20. A: I'm strongest as a producer. Before I ever touched music, I was a breakdancer for 10 years. My dance background serves as an incredible foundation when it comes to making music that moves people. I understand how to weave together production that supports the direction of a client's voice.

  21. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  22. A: I'm a triple threat producer/songwriter/artist. While I have a wide array of skills, I never want to be overbearing to a client project, so I do my best to meet the client where they're at. Some clients know exactly what they want, while others want a lot of input from me. Whatever the need is, I believe I do a great job at providing the proper amount of support.

  23. Q: What's your typical work process?

  24. A: Every project starts with a conversation. Music is simply emotions out loud, so it's important for myself as the producer to be on the same page as the client, emotionally. Every project is different, so my process is flexible to fit the needs of the client. If I'm taking lead on a record, I'll start by producing a loop to write to. If the instrumental gets too cluttered too early on, it's difficult for an artist to hear themselves on the production. Once we have lyrics solidified, we lay a scratch vocal on the production. Afterwards, I'll build the rest of the instrumental around the scratch vocal. Then, we'll go back and lay polished vocals and vocal arrangement.

  25. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  26. A: I own a production facility by the name of Anthem Music Enterprises. Vocal Processing (Outboard) - Neumann U87 - Neve 1073 - Universal Audio 1176 - Apollo X6 I work between Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, and FL Studio. All my recording and mixing engineering are done in Pro Tools, while my instrumental production bounces between Logic and FL depending on the scope of the project.

  27. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  28. A: I pull a lot of my production style from Pharrell Williams, Jon Bellion, and Kanye West. I believe silence is the funkiest sound, and I love incorporating elements of silence into my production. Locally, I'm especially known for the work I do with female R&B singers. I pull a lot of inspiration from SZA, Summer Walker, Jhené Aiko, Sailorr, and Amelia Moore.

  29. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  30. A: The overwhelming majority of work that I do encompasses full production services for artists. The majority of clients I work with are clients who are getting beat-production, songwriting, vocal arrangement, recording, mixing, and mastering directly from me.
