Leveraging my dual expertise as a faith-driven songwriter and mixing engineer, I craft sonically rich, genre-fluid music that ensures your story is heard with maximum emotional impact and clarity.
I am a purpose-driven artist and professional Mixing Engineer whose work is fundamentally rooted in sharing faith-based stories. My unique strength lies in the seamless synergy between my roles: I write from a place of deep devotion, and I mix with an intimate understanding of the song's emotional and narrative core.
As a Songwriter, my process begins with a heart devoted to Christ, often weaving Contemporary Christian Music with the textures of R&B, Folk, and Rap. I specialize in creating fantasy worlds and exploring the honest vulnerability of Christian life through lyrical storytelling.
As a Mixing Engineer, I don't just EQ and compress—I sculpt the sonic environment to serve the story. My mixing skill ensures that the emotional nuance and lyrical message are always clear and impactful, allowing me to deliver:
Intimate & Ambient Sonics: I craft mixes that are both sonically rich and deeply personal, specializing in creating the atmosphere necessary for genuine connection.
Narrative Clarity: Because I approach music as a storyteller, my mixing is hyper-focused on presenting the vocals and lead elements in a way that maximizes the lyrical journey.
Genre-Aware Production: My diverse writing background ensures I can expertly mix a wide range of styles, from delicate Folk arrangements to punchy R&B and R

Interview with Edward Wiggins
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm promoting my EP, In Nature, which came out in October.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: digital. It's just easier to expedite the process and correct mistakes. Obviously I love listening to analog more, but with creating, I don't the time, currently, to spend redoing a mix because a compressor wasn't set how I want it.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To give excel work
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I enjoy it all the time. I don't. It can be frustrating at time, even though I love it.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Have a clear idea of what you want. I will bring your vision to life but I need to know what that is. Even if you give me song references, I will mold it to you vision. If I have no vision then I have no way of knowing how to bring it to life
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Guitar, SM57, Focurite 2i2, my surface, and my keyboard
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Simple and melodic. I don't need a whole lot of extra instruments and plug-ins. A simple guitar or piano is more than enough for a good song.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Tori Kelly because she never seems to be performing. It is always a heartfelt experience listening to her live performance and her music and I would love to sit in on her process.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Take breaks. Rest is essential to keep your mind and ears fresh
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Contemporary and Pop
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My Strong skill would be my songwriting and vocals. Every other skill I've learned was developed to accompany those two skills
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My dedication to excellence and my heart to tell stories. The story of the song doesn't stop with the lyrics. It is embedded throughout the whole process songwriting, to arranging, to mixing and beyond. I want to tell that story as best as possible at every stage of the production process
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: For Songwriting: I start with a concept and then I outline the verses giving myself single sentences as a guide to how the verses will go. After that, I'll begin producing. I start with some sort of percussion to get away from the metronome as quickly as possible. I then lay my chords down then the rest of my rhythm section (bass, drums), then the leads and strings or pads. For producing: I start with percussion, then follow the same production process as with songwriting For mixing: I start with a static mix so as to make sure not to compress so much later. Then I use the follow signal chain: compression, Sub EQ, Add EQ, Reverbs, Delays, and anything else I want done to add flair.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a Focusrite 18i8 1st Gen. I record on either SM57 (2) or AKG P220 (2). I work from FL Studio as my DAW. I have PC with 16gs of RAM and 2Tbyt of memory.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Tori Kelly, Twenty One Pilots, Jon Bellion, Fred Hammond
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Songwriting and Producing
