Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: The current project of Dale and the ZDubs has been very fulfilling. I am the full-time drummer and am given a lot of freedom in how I play the drum parts.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am currently touring with a group from Maryland called Dale and the ZDubs.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Currently, no. I am new to SoundBetter.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog everytime. With analog, you can feel it all around you.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will put forth 110% and stay with you until it’s exactly how you want it.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The freedom of expression.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Can you play to a click? Which I reply, “of course I can”
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The faster I play, the better I am.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: When and where would you like me to be?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don’t hesitate to ask me to play it the way you would like me to. I am here to help you and I won’t be offended if you want me to play a certain way.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Sticks, practice pad, all American drummer book, metronome, and guitar.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I am been playing drums since I was a child. I played live briefly before joining the military and have been touring non-stop since I left the military 6 years ago.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Very high energy and high intensity.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: There are artists I would love to work with across many genres. The foo fighters, John Mayor, the weekend, widespread panic, Dead and co, and many more.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: When recording drums, sometimes less is more. To get unique drum tones, you don’t always need a large selection of microphones and the placement of your mics can give your tones a completely new personality.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I love funk and Americana, but will play any style.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I am a very strong reader. I pick up new music and techniques very quickly.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Energy. My play style is unique and can not be recreated.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: If I am recording or performing a song for an artist, I will learn the song exactly how they want it and only expand on it if they would like me to. I typically spend at least two hours a day in the practice room going over music that I will be performing and techniques to increase my proficiency on the kit.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I currently have a DW designer series kit and a tama stage star kit for live drums. I also have a Roland VAD103 electric kit.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I am predominantly a live performer but I have plenty of experience doing studio work as well.
