Your song deserves to hit the heart and the charts. I help artists shape raw ideas into release-ready records that feel as good as they sound. Whether you're refining a demo or starting with a voice memo, I bring clarity, creative direction, and the technical know-how to take your vision all the way.
I’m Jhosua Rodriguez-Diaz, co-founder of MIXIT Studios. I offer remote recording, mixing, and mastering for artists who want their music to sound polished without losing its raw emotion. Whether you’re starting from a rough idea or finalizing your mix, I help bring out the best in your sound.
Since 2016, I’ve worked across genres including pop, R&B, hip hop, indie, and singer-songwriter. My focus is always on clarity, creativity, and making sure your vision comes through. Artists come to me for professional results and a process that feels collaborative from start to finish.
If you want a partner who understands both the technical and emotional sides of music, I’d love to work with you.

Interview with Jhosua Rodriguez
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What does this song mean to you? What do you want people to feel when they hear it? What artists inspire your sound? What are you most proud of in your track so far?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Hire someone who listens. Your music deserves more than presets and templates. You want someone who understands what you’re trying to say and knows how to get it there.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started making music over two decades ago and co-founded MIXIT Studios in 2016. Since then I’ve had the privilege of working with artists from all over the world in over 1500 projects to date. Every project still feels like a new opportunity to create something meaningful.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Clean, intentional, and emotionally grounded. I build productions that support the vocal and the story. Nothing is random. Every sound has a role.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: If your mix feels crowded, take something out instead of adding more. Space creates impact. Every element should have a purpose and a place.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work on a wide range of genres including pop, R&B, hip hop, reggaeton, soul, and indie. But more than genre, I focus on music that says something real and connects emotionally.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Helping artists break through creative blocks and find the version of their song that feels right. I know how to make a song hit without losing what makes it personal.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring clarity, taste, and emotional awareness. I pay attention to the details that make a track feel alive. Whether I’m producing, mixing, or co-writing, I help artists unlock the full potential of their music.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It always starts with listening. I want to understand your vision, your influences, and where you're stuck. From there we build with intention. I send regular updates, stay connected throughout, and don’t stop until the song feels emotionally and sonically complete.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Our studio is built to inspire creativity while delivering precise, professional sound. We run Cubase Pro 14 as our primary DAW, powered by UAD interfaces and Neumann microphones for clean, detailed capture. Monitoring is handled through ADAM Audio A7V speakers in a carefully treated room, ensuring that every mix translates across systems. For in-the-box processing, we rely on the full UAD Complete bundle, along with top-tier libraries and tools from Toontrack, iZotope, Native Instruments, and more.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Artists like Jon Bellion, Finneas, and Benny Blanco all inspire me. They care deeply about detail and emotion. Their music tells stories that hit just as hard sonically as they do lyrically.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I help artists turn ideas into fully realized songs. That might mean producing a track from scratch, cleaning up a demo, or delivering a professional mix and master. Every step is about elevating the emotion and making sure the music feels powerful and true to the artist.
