Interview with Prodeezy

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I’ve had the privilege to work on many projects I’m proud of, each bringing its own unique challenges and creative opportunities. I approach every project with the same level of dedication and care to deliver the best possible result. Every track is a chance to push my skills and help bring a client's vision to life.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I’m always working on something. Staying active keeps my skills sharp and my creativity flowing.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Both analog and digital tools have their unique strengths, and I believe the best results come from combining the two. Analog gear adds warmth and character, while digital tools offer precision and flexibility. Using both allows me to craft sounds that are both rich and polished.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: My promise to clients is to bring nothing but pure quality to every project, delivering high-quality, impactful audio that makes their audio stand out and truly connect with listeners. I’m committed to professionalism, creativity, and making sure the final product exceeds expectations.

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: What I love most about my job is the ability to manipulate audio in a way that brings music to life and moves people emotionally. Turning raw sounds into something powerful and immersive is both an art and a science, and being part of that creative process never gets old.

  11. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  12. A: Clients often ask about my pricing, workflow, turnaround times, and how I can help bring their vision to life. I’m happy to walk them through every step, explain what to expect, and tailor my approach to fit their unique needs and goals. Im always open to jump on a call or zoom.

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: Two of the biggest misconceptions about what I do are that "I don’t like the song", and that I "don’t have enough experience". In reality, my job is to bring out the best version of the track through careful attention and fine-tuning, and my years of work in many different studios from home to professional facilities, and with artists around the spectrum of music creation, gives me a deep well of experience to carry out the job.

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: I like to start by asking about the client's overall vision and goals for the project, their reference tracks or influences, and any specific sounds or moods they want to capture. Understanding their timeline and budget is also important to ensure the process runs smoothly and meets expectations.

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: Look for someone who really listens to your vision and communicates clearly throughout the process. Finding an engineer who’s not just skilled but also reliable and easy to work with can make all the difference in bringing your audio to life.

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  20. A: Solar power generator, Speaker, Music player, phone aux cord, beer

  21. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  22. A: I first started experimenting with audio back in high school around 2004, just messing around and discovering my passion. After graduating, I initially went to business school in 2006 to learn how to operate in the music business and create our own ventures. After graduating College, I took a leap and bought a one-way ticket to LA, where I enrolled in recording school in Hollywood the following year. I gained valuable hands-on experience through internships at Atlantic Records and Paramount Recording, working on both personal projects and professional sessions. Later, I worked as a recording engineer in a well-known Las Vegas studio, learning more from the head engineers, refining my craft and building stronger knowledge of the industry and audio standards. Over the years, I’ve developed a versatile skill set and deep understanding of the audio world.

  23. Q: How would you describe your style?

  24. A: My style? Authentic, bold and fearless. I bring an approach that cuts through the noise, delivering productions with power, clarity, and attitude. I’m all about pushing boundaries and making tracks that hit hard and leave a lasting impression. Feel the Music.

  25. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  26. A: I’m open to working with any artist who's passionate about their craft. Whether they’re established or just starting out, I’m drawn to creatives who bring energy, vision, and authenticity to the table. For me, it’s less about the name and more about the vibe and the drive behind the music.

  27. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  28. A: Trust your ears. Know your gear and plugins, and meters are very important. At the end of the day, it’s how the music feels to you that matters most. Don’t overthink, if it sounds right, it is right.

  29. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  30. A: I work across all genres and styles, from hip-hop, and electronic, to rock, pop, and promotions. I’ve collaborated with a wide range of creatives and I enjoy the creative challenge each project brings. No matter the genre, I focus on delivering a sound that feels authentic, professional, and true to the client's vision.

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: My strongest skill is my relentless work ethic and attention to detail. I don’t stop until the track sounds exactly right, clean, impactful, and dialed in. I’m fully committed to the vision, and I’ll go the extra mile to make sure the final product hits the mark every time.

  33. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  34. A: I try to bring the dopeness that makes a track sound polished, hit harder, and feel bigger. Whether I’m mixing or adding production touches, I focus on elevating the emotion, energy, and clarity of the song. My goal is always to help the client's vision shine while giving the track that pro-level edge it needs to stand out.

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: My work process is all about understanding the client's vision first. I take time to listen closely to the project, then approach the mix with a balance of technical precision and creative feel. I keep communication clear and consistent throughout, and I always aim to deliver a product that sounds polished, competitive, and true to the client's identity. Every project is different, so I adapt my process to fit the sound and goals of each client.

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: My Home Studio is equipped with professional-grade gear designed for high-quality audio production. I work with industry-standard DAWs, premium plugins, and accurate studio monitors to ensure every mix translates perfectly. It’s a streamlined setup built for precision, creativity, and delivering top-tier sound.

  39. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  40. A: I’m inspired by Everything! From legends to up-and-comers. Anyone who puts real effort and passion into their craft earns my respect. Everyone’s got their own story and sound, and that constant drive to create something from nothing is what motivates me the most.

  41. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  42. A: As an experienced Audio Engineer and DJ, I specialize in full audio production services for anyone needing audio assistance such as independent artists, labels, podcasters, audio book publishers, game makers, TV and Movie producers, brands and more. Most of my clients come to me for clean, industry standard mixes that elevate their sound to a professional level. I focus on bringing out your unique vibe while delivering high-quality, industry-standard results. I also pride my services on solid communication and a smooth, reliable process from start to finish.
