Born in San Francisco, Ca; raised between Atlanta, Ga and Lagos, Nigeria respectively; I'm sure one can only imagine the depths of creativity that bubble within the artist known as Kashiff Gbaja. From the age of 7, Kashiff knew he wanted to be a rapper when he was challenged by his older cousin to freestyle for him at their Grandma's 75th; a moment that would ultimately lead to the phenomenon we now know as Kashiff Gbaja. Now having somewhat mastered his influences in American artistry, with artists ranging from André 3000, Kanye West, M.I.A., Sade, Lauryn Hill, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Neptunes and Michael Jackson our future legend looks to master the sound from his home country, Nigeria, influenced by artists like 9ice, Fela Kuti, Wizkid, Wande Coal, Asa and Burna Boy.. and birth a new sound from it.
