Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Just worked in a really cool mix for an up and coming pop artist “Camp Circadia” super fun project to work on. Super energetic and was a perfect way to show what I got
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Working with up and coming artists in the LA area
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Doesn’t matter! Analog if I’m in the studio and there’s a cool compressor but otherwise the track matters the most!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: On time, on point, always
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Discovering something no one’s heard yet and in its rawest form!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: “Do you do payment plans??” In which I reply, we can ALWAYS budget something.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: “Uhhh are you that guy that stands behind those boards with the thingies??”
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: How long have you been making music and what are you trying to achieve in the near future. That’s a great basis to get an idea of how serious a client is
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: be specific about your needs and I’ll meet you where you are!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Interface, laptop, mic, headphones SIMPLE
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I’ve been making music since around 13 and been apart of multiple music scenes throughout the years. Mixing music was my way of meeting cool people and making cool art and that’s why I still do it!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: In your face baby
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I’d love to work with legacy rock artists from my childhood like MCR or Travis Barker and anything he’s working on!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Have a clear vision and try your best to get there with whatever you have
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I grew up playing in punk/metal bands but love working on current underground rap/pop and “guitar music”
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Big FAT drums lol
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I like to be a safe space for an artist to truly share and express what their vision and goal is and how I can help them get there. That’s my job.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I’m very organized and detailed in the mixing stage and love to experiment, but I love getting the sounds right at the source as well. Sound design is very important to me!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a small home studio in Los Angeles California with a plethora of software and experience to use it to its fullest potential
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I’m super inspired by hip hop producers like Pharrel, Timbaland and Darkchild as well as modern rock producers like John Feldman/Neil Avron
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mix and master and help realize an artists creative visions and put them to paper!
