I’m a saxophonist with experience in recordings, live performances, and musical arrangements. My goal is to deliver emotional performances with a distinctive tone that fits different styles — from jazz to gospel, from pop to soul. I always combine technique and sensitivity so that every note makes an impact on your music.
As a professional saxophonist, I provide expressive solos, catchy riffs, and full horn section recordings (saxophone, trumpet, and trombone), always delivered with high-quality audio and attention to detail.
My versatility allows me to perform across many genres — jazz, pop, soul, gospel, R&B, MPB and more — adapting tone and phrasing to perfectly fit the identity of your project. In addition to recording, I also write original arrangements and sheet music, creating expressive melodies or powerful horn sections that bring your music to life.
I can develop brand-new solos and horn lines tailored to your vision, or faithfully reproduce existing material with clarity, precision, and emotion in every note.
Whether you need a smooth and engaging solo or the energy of a full brass section, my goal is to deliver a professional result that blends seamlessly with your track and elevates your music.

Interview with Erick Oliveira
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: 100% dedication and satisfaction — I only finish when the music sounds exactly the way you imagined.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it’s just about “playing notes.” In reality, it involves interpretation, creativity, and sensitivity to add real musical value.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask about the style, references, the role of the horns in the track, and any preferences for tone, energy, or intensity.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I’ve been playing saxophone for over 15 years, working professionally on recordings, arrangements, and live performances.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Leave space for the instrument to breathe. Silence between phrases is just as important as the notes.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Jazz, pop, soul, gospel, R&B, and Brazilian music, though I adapt easily to different styles.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Versatility — I can play smooth and melodic in a ballad, energetic and powerful in a solo, and also create cohesive horn section arrangements.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Expression, energy, and emotion. Every note I play is crafted to elevate the music and not just fill space.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First, I discuss the project with the client to understand the style, vision, and references. Then I record multiple takes, offering creative options and ensuring everything fits the track perfectly. Revisions are always welcome until the client is 100% satisfied.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work from a treated home studio with a professional audio interface, high-quality condenser microphones, and industry-standard DAWs. This setup allows me to deliver clean, mix-ready tracks with a warm, natural tone.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I’m inspired by Michael Brecker, Chris Potter, and Gerald Albright on the saxophone, as well as Quincy Jones and Snarky Puppy for their brilliant work with horn arrangements and production.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I record saxophone solos, catchy riffs, and arrange full horn sections (sax, trumpet, and trombone). I can create original lines from scratch or faithfully reproduce existing material.
